The Windsor Wolves have launched their 2023 Inaugural Indigenous Jersey designed and painted by our A Grade Captain Coach Troy Dargin.
The section through the middle of the design represents the Hawkesbury river also called Dyarubbin or Deerubbin by the Darug and Darkinjung People meaning Wide, Deep Water.
Illustrated along the River are family gathering points with both soft and dark coloured dots to represent the male and female presence.
Choice of colour and symbols are to represent the sand and mud along the shore line, Trees, plants and one of many Totems, the Possum, for the Darug and Darkinjung people that lived and continue to live on the land.
The Jersey will be worn by our Under 19’s and A Grade in Round 13 at Windsor Stadium vs Cambridge Park, where we will be celebrating Indigenous culture.
